The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) was officially renamed as the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute on the 12 AUG 2015. Rachel Chan, main floral designer of FLOWERS IN MIND is proud to be providing four of the dried floral arrangements together with the pictorial exhibits atĀ 30 Heng Mui Keng Terrace.Ā
TREE OF LIFE:Ā This concept derived from a modern thanksgiving event whereby it resembles a Christmas tree. For main types of floral are used: Australian Banksia, dried lotus, dried gerberas and dried camelia which symbolizes four races living together harmoniously in Singapore. In addition, it is especially dedicated to thank all the guests andĀ sponsors here at the ceremony that have contributed and attended to make thisĀ ceremony a successful one.

VIBRANT MEMORIES:Ā The arrangement incorporated many colour dried baby breaths (gypsophila), which resembles future generations and makes them look distinctive on the white structure. Multicolours also symbolizes rainbow and dried cotton plant resembles cloud. Together, the whole arrangement was described, as the beautiful memories of our late president just like the rainbow in the sky which future generations wanted to reach out for.

WISE ROYAL:Ā Main colour purple signifies wisdom and nobility thus natural purple flower such as Lavender is used. Lavender has a healing, soothing and calming effect. It is to convey relaxing and stability feelings of citizens in Singapore, all thanks to our founding father. He has created a safe country, homeland for every one of us, just like the multicolor sticks forming a shelter for the entire arrangement.
TRIBUTE:Ā 50 sticks represents 50 years of Singaporeās independence. The crescent and 5 stars together with the red and white theme correspond to our national flag. A special arrangement was designed and created in dull colours to serve as a tribute and to commemorate our late president.
